We stayed overnight at this motel during a roadtrip across Canada. It’s a modest motel, but don’t let that deter you. The staff were very pleasant, polite, and accommodating. The room and linens were clean. Despite the proximity of the highway it was quiet and we woke refreshed and ready for the day. The beautiful lake view was amazing. We came in later at night but if it had been earlier an evening by the lake would have been spectacular.
This is precisely that for which we were looking: an affordable overnight stay before continuing on to our outfitter in the morning. It's a classic early motel. Beds were comfortable. Windows at front and rear allow for a through-breeze. [Note: per the sign in the room: A/C available on request.] It's priced affordably.
The rooms were older and dated but clean, well kept and a comfortable sleep. The property was beautiful with a little dock to sit on. Service was great, we were arriving very late and owners stayed to wait for us. No coffee makers in the room, coffee was available but at a charge. Food and snacks were available, and no problem in bringing my dog. I will stay here again if ever this way again. I highly recommend this place. The owners met us with happiness and joy, they have only owned the English River Inn for 3 months and based on what I've seen they have a bright future. I had the pleasure of staying at this motel, and I couldn’t be more impressed! From the moment I arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make sure my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. Their friendly and attentive service truly made a difference. A special shoutout to the manager, whose hard work and dedication were clearly evident. They took the time to listen to my needs and made every effort to fulfill them promptly and efficiently. It’s rare to see such genuine care and commitment to customer satisfaction. Overall, a fantastic experience! I highly recommend this motel to anyone looking for great service, a welcoming atmosphere, and a management team that truly cares about their guests. I’ll definitely be returning!
Clean rooms. Nice view outside. Not sure if breakfast is provided, but they do have a kitchen where you can cook your own food. Staff was excellent!!
I gave 5 stars because that motel met all our needs. We are doing the ride to BC and needed a place to stay for the night. The bed was comfortable, the sheets were clean, and they let us stay with our cat! It's a family-owned motel, and the two owners were really kind and did a great job welcoming us. Another plus: the spot is amazing! It's close to the road, but also near a beautiful lake I definitely recommend that motel to travelers
Such a sweet little place, very clean and friendly staff, wish we could have stayed longer! Was so nice to walk by the water after driving for so many hours. Only thing we wish we had was coffee, otherwise highly recommend!
